AI OLYMPIAD TRAINING PROGRAM

Are you a  high school Computer Science student who wants to learn more about AI and the new International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI)?


This summer's IOAI Canada Training Program is FREE for Canadian high school students and takes place from July 8 to 12, 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM (EST).

 

 

 

The IOAI Canada Training Program includes essential AI skills outlined by the IOAI.  Expert instructors will introduce students to the PyTorch library and Google Colab as participants build their own AI model.  Along with technical knowledge and AI skill building, students will also explore and discuss the historical, ethical and social implications of AI. 

 

High school Computer Science students are encouraged to join the IOAI Canada Training Program whether or not they wish to be considered for IOAI competition.

Training will be provided online and onsite at Dr. X Academy of Robotics and Coding located at 44 East Beaver Creek Rd #10, Richmond Hill, ON L4B 1G6.

Team IOAI Canada Selection Process

Applications for IOAI 2024 are now closed

The selection process is designed to choose top students from the IOAI Canada Training Program to represent Canada at the international competition in August.

The process for the 2024 IOAI was as follows:

  1. Submit your completed application by 11:55 PM (EST) June 28th, 2024.

  2. Participate in the IOAI Canada Training Program from July 8th to 12th, 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM (EST)

A team of 4 students will be selected for IOAI Team Canada based on their application materials and engagement in the training program.  Additional IOAI training will be provided to selected team members.

Team Canada Eligibility

Students interested in representing Canada at the IOAI must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident, or full-time high school student in Canada.

  2. Be less than 20 years old on the first day of the IOAI competition (August 9, 2024).

  3. Be a high school student for the 2023-2024 academic year.
